 I write this letter of recommendation for Marlon Bustamante as a general contractor. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Bustamante on many occasions for the past seven years. I can recommend him highly and without reservation. Originally, Mr. Bustamante started as a painter for my rental properties. As our relationship matured and developed, I have discovered many other areas of Mr. Bustamante's expertise. Since that time, Mr. Bustamante has done full electrical and plumbing upgrades in my homes. He has installed new flooring (laminate, tile, hardwood, and carpeting), fully remodeled bathrooms and kitchens, as well as performed waterproofing (interior and exterior), and exterior painting. Throughout the course of any of my projects, Mr. Bustamante was very professional. He was accurate in his initial assessment of the scale and cost of the projects. His estimates were very detailed and clear. When we encountered unforeseen circumstances, Mr. Bustamante would promptly propose a reasonable solution in order to complete the project in timely and cost effective manner. All my jobs were done with great care and precision. Mr. Bustamante employs a reliable crew of workers, who are very timely, proper, and hard working. M. Bustamante also hires subcontractors, all of which have been very professional and great craftsmen. In addition, Mr. Bustamante is very tidy in the workplace. His crew always took extra care to make sure the job sites were cleaned throughout and any building materials were properly disposed. Some of my projects required custom solutions. Mr. Bustamante was always able to advise me and help me choose the best options. He is a gifted contractor with a lot of knowledge and expertise in executing his projects. Should you decide to do business with Mr. Bustamante, I believe you will be pleased with the accuracy of his estimate, quality of his work, attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and ability to meet deadlines.

 It has been a pleasure to work with Capital Restoration Management LLC on the restoration and renovation of our D.C. rowhouse, and we are delighted to recommend the company’s services on construction projects. We solicited Capital Restoration’s services following a fire that gutted the back half of our D.C. rowhouse. As this was our first time dealing with such a situation, we relied heavily on the expertise of Capital to not only get the house habitable but also to make some long-needed updates. We enlisted Capital Restoration to install a central air and heating system, add two new roofs, lay hardwood flooring and refinish other floors, demolish and renovate several bathrooms, install new skylights, repair brick steps, replace rusted ironwork, renovate the kitchen with new countertops, cabinets and an island, and paint the exterior brick, among other projects. Not to mention Capital Restoration completed fire mitigation work to help get all the smoke from the fire out of the house. Capital Restoration was able to handle all of the work we wanted done. Our general contractor, Marlon Bustamante, held our hand from start to finish, completing the permitting and inspection processes for us without us needing to get involved in the D.C. bureaucracy, detailing project timelines and updating us on any necessary cost changes. Marlon also provided renovation suggestions and recommendations when needed to help improve the final project; his eye to detail helped us from making costly mistakes and maintained the integrity of the house. He was instrumental and readily available throughout every phase of the process. Capital Restoration was able to complete this challenging renovation in a timely manner within the original timeframe. The company successfully met or resolved every change request and/or addition that we made. We would like to thank Marlon and his entire staff for the professional and competent way they approached this project, and we would not hesitate to use or recommend Capital Restoration again for any housing projects.

For each project, the company met with me to determine my needs and provided affordable options.  I am pleased to share with you my opinion of the work of Capital Restoration Management Group. My house was built in 1946. Since I bought it in 1980, I have been upgrading it. Over the past ten years, Capital Restoration Management Group has done most of the work. The projects include: major remodeling of the bathroom; replacement of all windows; new kitchen cabinets and floor, install gas fireplace; painting and carpeting; power washing and painting of the exterior, repair of cement walkways and stairs; installation of handrails on all outside stairs, and digging up the original driveway and replacing it with a new cement driveway. This list demonstrates some of the skills this company has. Throughout the projects, Marlon Bustamonte, the owner, worked closely with me in the planning and stayed in touch through each project to ensure that I got what I wanted. He made sure I knew who the team leader was and the team leader kept me up to date on the progress. The crews were well supervised. In addition to doing excellent work, they treated my house and its contents with respect. The areas they were working in were straightened up at the end of the day and other areas of the house were undisturbed. In addition to charging a reasonable amount for its services, Capital Restoration Management Group has two additional notable strengths. First, they finish the jobs and they finish them on time. Second, they give a 10-year warranty on their work. I've had a few minor things that have needed to be fixed. There was no delay in getting them repaired under the warranty.
